How foodash works: from sign-up to your first order in under an hour

A step-by-step look at setting up foodash — menu import, Kitchen Display, inventory, loyalty and the five AI agents — and taking your first order fast.

Getting started with foodash is designed to take an afternoon, not a project plan. Here is what the journey from sign-up to your first order looks like.

1. Sign up and start the free trial

Creating an account takes about a minute, and you get a 2-day free trial of the full product — every screen and every AI agent, with no card required. At the end of the trial you subscribe or walk away.

2. Import your menu

The onboarding wizard scans your existing menu from a photo or PDF and pre-builds your categories, items and prices in around five minutes, so you are not typing everything by hand.

3. Take orders on the iPad POS

foodash runs on any iPad you already own. The Lightning POS is built for speed — dine-in, takeaway and drive-thru — so an order takes seconds, not a minute. Send it to the kitchen with a single tap.

4. Run the pass on the Kitchen Display

The Kitchen Display System is included free and works on any HDMI screen with an inexpensive mini PC. Paper tickets disappear; the kitchen sees live timers, allergens and modifications on one screen.

5. Let inventory look after itself

Link your recipes once and stock deducts automatically from every sale. Log purchases, counts and wastage in seconds, and the Inventory agent flags drift before it eats into your margin.

6. Reward guests and reorder stock

Enrol customers into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet loyalty with a quick QR scan — no app to download. When stock runs low, draft a purchase order in one tap or let the Reorder agent do it, then send it to your supplier over WhatsApp and email.

Live within the hour

Because the setup is guided and your menu is imported for you, most cafés are ringing up their first real order within an hour of signing up.
